Music Industry

Can you really make a living out of being a musician? Let’s face it we’re not all going to be rock stars so what are the options? When you start to investigate the music industry you will discover that there is a wealth of information out there on a whole range of jobs.

Of course you can still perform. There are many venues that are looking for live music entertainment. In fact the live sector has grown more than any other area of the music industry in recent years. You could play in a cover band at local venues and as you build up a reputation you may find you are able to scale it up. Themed bands are also very popular so you may decide to start a tribute band! You could even sign up with an entertainment agent. Remember you will pay a commission to them though for any work they find you. This can work in your favour though if they are getting you lots of gigs.

Having a guitar built from scratch is a great way to get a unique instrument that sounds like no other guitar in the world. Whether you are a player or a collector, you can appreciate the effect of having a one-of-a-kind instrument.

Obviously, it is usually an expensive proposition to have a custom-made guitar, so the project should be shopped and planned carefully. Let’s take a look at some things to consider when choosing your custom guitar builder.

Look and Sound

To find an expert luthier, you may have to look across the country or even outside your home country, and this means that you may not be able to see and play any of their guitars in person, unless they are willing to ship you a sample guitar for testing. Don’t be discouraged by this, however, as any top-notch luthier will have an available online gallery of their work to look at, and should also be able to provide audio samples of their guitars being played. It’s not ideal, but being able to evaluate these qualities online gives you the opportunity to look far and wide for the right luthier to build your custom guitar.

We would have to play the same sounds worldwide for this to be acceptable, and there are hundreds of different types of music. Your best bet is to request free drum samples, allowing you to hear the sounds that the drum and accessories are capable of producing before you agree to make a major purchase.

Different Beats

It takes different beats, sounds, and accessories to achieve the hottest sounds in the world, so you should know what to buy and when so that you get the perfect drum sound. Drum samples allow you to buy once and listen to the sound over and over, so that you feel the beat as you play it, perfecting each sound and making it your own. You can get free clips to get a feel for which sample is right for you.

For instance, you have some experience playing drums, but you want a real Johnny Juliano sound when you play. It is not enough to hear the beat in your head, you want to feel it throughout your body with each beat, so a free drum sample of this beat is the way to go for you.

Different Sounds

Have you ever had a favorite song that you listened to over and over again for several days, weeks, months even? Of course you have, everybody did, but did it happen to you that a friend of yours, traumatized by this favorite song of yours ask you: “What do you like so much about that song, what is it about?”. Probably about 10-20% of the cases you knew exactly what the subject was about, but in the rest of the cases you probably answered: “I don’t know, I just like the beat”.

So it is obvious that the beat/instrumental adds very much if not the most value to your song.

Today, there are more up-coming artists than ever before, not only because the population grew, but the main reason is that beats have become so accessible for everybody through the help of WEBSITES DEDICATED TO BEATS. And if you are a new artists you have to stand out of the crowd, not only with your mind-blowing LYRICS or your amazing VOICE, but your breath-taking BEATS/INSTRUMENTALS that when a fan of yours is listening to your musical projects, the “HOT” beats come one after the other and so on.

When I first got into the music industry, I had no idea how to promote my music. I went to a lot of shows and watched a lot of bands. I pretty much made it a routine weekend deal. I had some buddies I grew up with who were also into the music scene and we played instruments every day, usually after school.

One of my biggest dreams was to be able to support myself from the music I created and just as well travel the world, performing for people every night. I’m pretty sure my friends had the same dream, but it didn’t seem as if it were true.

Anyways, there is a lot of dedication that drives a successful band and a whole lot more promotion to make it anywhere if your just starting up. I put down music myself(now working with computers), but I still enjoy every bit of it. I’m going to list some ways that YOU can promote your music on the internet.
