Guns N’ Roses (sometimes abbreviated as G N’ R or GnR) is an American hard rock band, formed in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, in 1985. The band has released six studio albums, three EPs, and one live album. The classic original lineup, as signed to Geffen records, consisted of lead vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler. Co-founder Axl Rose is the only current original member of Guns N’ Roses. The band has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, including shipments of 45 million in the United States. The band’s 1987 major label debut album, Appetite for Destruction, has sold in excess of 28 million copies worldwide and reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and is also the highest selling debut album of all time in the US.
Indie rock can be (loosely) defined as a melodic or punk genre guitar-based of rock music, and a means of producing that music, that originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s and early 1980s as an alternative to the mainstream music of the time. The indie genre, it could be claimed, was mainly inspired by the Sex Pistols and the punk rock movement in the UK, which led to a more DIY approach to music and inspired young people to form bands. For example, on 4 June 1976 in the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester – in a smaller room above the main hall, the Sex Pistols played a gig that is widely believed to have been the catalyst to the punk rock movement, New Wave, and the subsequent indie movement.
Many of the musicians who attended the either of these two famous gigs by the Sex Pistols (as they returned to play another date) went on to form some of the important and critically acclaimed bands of the era. People who are believed to have attended these gigs include The Smith’s front man Morrissey, Factory Records founder Tony Wilson, members of Joy Division/New Order (Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook), members of the Buzzcocks (Howard Devoto, Pete Shelley, Steve Diggle), and The Fall’s Mark E Smith.
Rock music is a popular from of music that is accompanied by instruments like drums, guitar and bass. Rock music in itself has many styles that were incorporated by musicians who loved this music. One can come across rock music where instruments like synthesizers, piano and organ is also used. Rock music began in the early fifties in United States and the United Kingdom and like all popular music has it own loyal fan following. Rock music was subsequently mixed with many other elements of music to give their own touch to rock music. Rock song subsequently over the years had many new genres added in its fold.
So in 1970s jazz was blended with rock to create jazz rock music, and then it was blended with folk music resulting in folk rock and later Latin, soul and funk music also had its influences on rock music at times. Today we have different categories under rock music and some of the popular ones are heavy metal rock, progressive rock, blues rock, soft rock, punk rock and techno rock among others. In the 1980′s and 1990′s many new additional genres of rock music such as Brit pop rock, Indie rock, alternative rock, hard rock and grunge style rock were introduced. The United Kingdom is another country where rock country flourished and British rock is also as famous as American rock music all over the world.
Rock music is a kind of music (music genres) that began to be popular in the mid 50s. Its root was derived from rhythm and blues, country music from the 40s and 50s as well as the other various influences. Furthermore, It also took a variety of other musical styles, including folk music (folk music), jazz and classic music.
The distinctive sound of this music often revolved around the electric guitar or acoustic guitar, and the use of a very subtle back beat in the rhythm section on electric bass guitar and drums, and keyboards like organ, piano or synthesizers since the 70s. In its pure form, the rock music had three chords, a consistent and striking back-beat, and attractive melody.
In the late 60s and early 70s, it evolved into several types. Rock music that mixed with the folk music (local music in the U.S.) became folk rock, the music that mixed with blues became blues-rock and the one that mixed with jazz became a jazz-rock fusion.

1. Get directions. Make sure you know where is the festival grounds are located. Plan your route and determine how long it’s going to take you to get there. Learn when the gates open, so you can time your arrival for ease of parking and grabbing your favorite band viewing location.
2. Accommodations. Where are you going to stay? Many rock music festivals provide convenient camp ground facilities, but you shouldn’t just expect to show up and get a site. If you want to camp, verify that they have tent camping and/or if your size of camper will fit in the sites they have available. Whether you’re planning on camping or staying at an area hotel, make sure to get your reservation made well in advance, or you may be out of luck!
3. Other Accommodations. Learn what types of food, drink and other facilities, such as restrooms (and showers — if you’re staying in a tent) are going to be available.
